Now read this again to yourself, Credible testimonials placed throughout your website can substantially improve your web sales. It's true. So do it!.Here are simple techniques you can use to help make your testimonials shine like a beacon.

Special Site Note from Stephen Dunbar, The Online Business Tutor.
One approach I've tried with success was including beside each testimonial a small client photo, website address, plus a contact email address.

It's important to include a method of contact so your audience can see "this is a real person who lives and breathes like me". Site viewers may email your clients to learn more about their experience with your organisation. Do make sure it's fine with your client first. Nothing worse than your favorite client being bombarded with unwanted email.

After all, if you develop trust with your audience, it's much easier to gain the sale.

Six Simple Ways To Make Your Client Testimonials Shine

  • 1. CLIENT PHOTOS
Ask clients to e-mail you a picture with their testimonial. If they do not have one scanned you could have them send their picture by mail and you could scan it. This is my number one technique to gain credibility.

  • 2. SCAN SIGNATURES
Ask clients to mail you their written signature, scan it, and upload it with their testimonial. Readers will feel the testimonial holds more weight.

  • 3. HAND WRITTEN LETTERS
Scan and upload the entire written testimonial or letter to your web site. Do make sure it's easy to read. Hand written letters make your offer "real".

  • 4. ADD CONTACT INFORMATION
When you receive testimonials from people, ask them if you could include their email address beside the testimonial. Site viewers may email your clients questions to learn more about their experience with your organisation.

  • 5. PLACE TESTIMONIALS ON MOST WEBPAGES
I'm apposed to having a long scrolling testimonial page. After experimenting with my own websites over the years, I've found most people do not click on a testimonial webpage. Instead include a few great testimonials on each important webpage. Feature one or two on your home, product, contact and order pages.

  • 6. YOUR TESTIMONIALS MUST BE REAL
Edit Testimonials only to fix spelling mistakes. Commonsense will tell you, do not fake a testimonial, and post it on your site. I'm amazed by some people who try this technique on their site. It's obvious a testimonial is legitmate or not. Does it sound real? Does the testimonial include contact details? email address or web address? phone number?. When you do receive a testimonial from a satisfied client, don't change any of the text, sure fix spelling mistakes, but don't change any of the raw content. Your testimonials are believable because your client's words are not fudged.

Why Edit Testimonials changing your clients words to a make them sound richer? Not only could it harm your sales, moreover, hurt your reputation as an expertise in your field and put your out of business. So trust me. Only Edit Testimonials to fix spelling mistakes. You will thank me later.
